About Mrs. C-P.
I have been teaching for 31 years (WOW!). My credentials include teaching 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades, and holding a master’s degree in elementary education and an endorsement in education administration.
Writing is one of the many interests I enjoy. I like watching baseball (St. Louis Cardinals), college football (Nebraska Cornhuskers) and professional football (Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos). I love to travel and am SCUBA certified. In addition, I have run three 1/2 marathons, two in Dayton, Ohio at the US Air Force Marathon and one in Nashville called the St. Jude's Rock-n-Roll half-marathon.
I have three children and four stepchildren, yes that equals SEVEN children in all. One golden retriever named, Chelsie and a step-schnauzer named Joey also live with me. My husband, Kent, as a principal sales consultant for a large technology company.
As writing and literacy become more and more essential in our technologically driven society, I truly believe in the potential of every student to become successful. I also know that learning is a life long endeavor-one that should be encouraged and nourished.
My classroom door is always open. A positive connection between student, teacher and parent is essential for successful education. If you ever would like to visit the classroom or communicate with me in any way, stop by and visit the classroom or email me at:
